in Indiana...

  White River at Edwardsport.

.Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall last week produced enough runoff
to bring minor flooding along the White River from Elliston down to
Hazleton, and on the East Fork White River at Seymour.  The crest is
nearing Edwardsport on the White River.  Flooding on the White River
will last as long as Thursday night.  At Seymour, flooding is
expected to end Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

  begin.

  - At 8:00 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 22.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 AM EDT Sunday was 22.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late tomorrow evening and continue falling and remain below
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

  possibly a few other low rural roads flood.  High water isolates
  Pottstown, a river cabin community.

  - There is no current observed data.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.8
    feet early Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood
    stage late Thursday evening.

  Cutoff Area.

  - At 8:30 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 15.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM EDT Sunday was 15.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling and remain
    below flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
